Panasonic Lumix G2 Micro Four Thirds Digital SLR Camera
June 13, 2010 Digital Cameras, Panasonic
The G2 allows you to control many functions via its clever fold-out Live View LCD touch-screen. While shooting, the auto focus can be set at the desired part of the frame by simply touching the subject to activate the AF in both photo and movie recording. In manual operation, aperture and shutter speed can be set to the desired value by moving the slider. And while playing back, you can quickly select an image to view by scrolling images. Image quality is excellent. The Panasonic Venus Engine HD II reproduces delicate colour nuances faithfully and will reduce any picture noise, even at high ISO levels. It emphasizes the subject’s contours and colour edges, resulting stunning images. And with a 12.1 megapixel resolution you’ll be able to print poster size photos and get creative with your cropping, while retaining detail. Dust can often be a nuisance with many interchangeable lens cameras, but you’ll be pleased to know the G2 features a Dust Reduction System which vibrates around 30,000 times per second, repelling dust and maintaining superb image quality. The G2 can also record 720p HD movies with Dolby Digital sound. Just press the Motion Picture Button, and shooting begins. Then playback on your HD ready TV via the miniHDMI socket.
